Hi,

The server has one Secure.mydomain.net SSL installed and httpS://secure.mydomain.net is working fine. However, that is not a DNN site. In IIS we have the domain mydomain.net setup as a regular IIS site and is also assigned Port 443. Now, the IIS also has a 'defaultDNN' domain installed and that's where all requests going to various DNN Portals are being routed. There is only 1 IP address on the server machine and only one SSL Certificate installed.

Is it possible to not make the SSL Certficate work for both DNN and the regular IIS domain? If that is not possible then how could we make the SSL work for DNN domains?

I have been searching but have not found anything helpful. So please help if you can!

Anyone? I mean there should be some easy to understand way to make SSL work in DNN?

you need to set the ssl domain in your site settings, http://www.datasprings.com/Resources/ArticlesInformation/DotNetNukewSSL/tabid/827/language/en-US/Default.aspx has a good write up.

Thank you. I did read that article before and try that but it does not cover all we need--please read my message about. Okay, here is some particulars:

1) The non-DNN domain at IIS is https://secure.mojoe.net . The 'default' website in IIS is turned off.

2) The DNN is installed as as 'defaultDNN' domain so all traffic going to 68.115.233.231 is handled by this and it routes to appropriate Portals; so far so good.

3) We have a test domain: http://dev1.alphaobjects.com which has E-Commerce that needs to work. I have tried putting an Alias like 'secure.mojoe.net/dev1alpha' but that did not work.

4) There is only 1 IP address for all DNN/Non-DNN sites: 68.115.233.231

Please help us. We are stuck. I am willing to pay some money to whoever who can help us out. This project is way late and losing money as it is but we want to get this out of our way. Can't believe we are stuck.

Is this really impossible to make my setup work?! I mean I am not asking for the moon here! If the SSL can't work in my setup then where are some step by step instructions to make SSL work assuming we go to a new server with its own SSL and/or shared hosting.
