Sorry to be a nuisance but , having now loaded the file successfully I can't get it to play.

Previously I had it playing on another site using the following hard coding

Excatly the same coding won't play on my site now.

It recognises the the video box but won't play it.... can anyone help please???

Thanks

Chris

Can't really help because I have no idea what you're talking about.  I don't know what file, I don't know what your "hard coding" is and I have no idea what you've done on your current site.

Sorry Jeff,

I'd pasted in the line of code but I guess it got chopped.

Are you putting your hard code into a text/html module via the html view and changing the url to your file to match ...http:://www.yourportal.com/portals/0/foldername/filename/

Just guessing here since I can't tell what you've done, since I can't see your hard code.

Hope this helps

Jerry

Thanks Jerry

I'm putting the hard coding into the htm/text module via the source button

At the end of the text info that is diplayed I'm adding a line of code that I've posted on this thread twice but it gets stripped out.

The code is identical to one that works on another site and involves alignment height and width parameters. It then refers to the file name using src="/Portal/0/filename"  it then defines width and height again and includes an embed instruction.

As I said it works perfectly in another site, I'm wondering if the other site is a previous version of dotnetnuke and the code instruction has changed, or the address detail is wrong, although the file is in my portal root diectory.

Thanks

Chris
