I just migrated my DNN installation to another server, and everything worked fine except all the pictures were broken.

This is a link from the server that works:
http://www.alphakappaomega.com/aka/Portals/0/centennial1a.jpg

This is how the link looks on the new site after migrating:
http://server101/ako/Portals/0//aka/Portals/0/centennial1a.jpg

This is how the link SHOULD look on the new server:
http://server101/ako/Portals/0/centennial1a.jpg

What do I need to change?

Thanks,
Robert

Did you setup the site differently when you moved it? It looks like it's thinking the site is under ako/Portals/0 instead of just server101...
Do you have the site as a website or a virtual directory?

I have it set up as a Virtual Directory. I just noticed also that the only pictures affected are those in the text/HTML modules. Pictures in the announcements module, or CSS are showing up fine.

What gets me is the address is perfect except it adds the part in yellow
http://server101/ako/Portals/0//aka/Portals/0/centennial1a.jpg

The extra slash makes me think something is set wrong. I checked my portal aliases to make sure there was no / after the alias, and there isn't one. Any other thoughts?

Hmmm.... so I changed the IIS Virtual directory from

server101/ako

to

server101/aka

...and voila... the pictures popped right in! The original address was alphakappaomega.com/aka so that leads me to believe that the address has to keep the /aka for the links/pictures in the text/HTML modules to work?? PS... I noticed that the problem was with links as well as pictures, but this fixed corrected everything.

I am going to look further into this, but for anyone else having this problem, this worked for me.

Robert
