I am new to DNN.  I would like to use it as it is very awesome, however I'm not sure if it will fit my needs.

I am creating a rather simple web site with a single main page.  Users will register on the main page and will then be created an individual page.  All users of the site will have basically the same page (structure), the only differences will be populated from a DB.  I can code all this by hand, very simple, but I would like to leverage the power and flexability of DNN taking in consideration future ideas and growth.

It is the structure of the site that is confusing me.  The format for the site will be simple, the main site page will be at http://www.mysite.com and each users page located at http://www.mysite.com/user1 and http://www.mysite.com/user2 etc.

Is this possible?  I read the documentation Friendly Url's and it referenced Child Portals, however I'm not sure creating a sub portal for every user of the system is realistic.

Please be so kind to point me in the right direction and offer any advice.

Thanks so much in advance!

Sethian

This is not standard functionality in DNN, but there are several third party modules that may meet your needs.  Check out www.activemodules.com for some.
