Hi All

I have two problem accessing external file.

First Problem.
I have developed a flash image gallery, which contains 4 images.  These images are embedded into the flash file. When this .swf file is inserted into the module, I do not have any problem to see the image.    Now I have developed a flash image gallery, where image will be loaded dynamically.  For this I have used a xml file, where image name are written.  And images are in a particular folder. Flash file will access this xml file.   I have used Flash cs3.  This .swf file is working fine both as standalone and in html.  Now I have included this .swf file in the module and  uploaded all the image and xml file. But it is not working in the DotNetNuke framework.  Is it posstible in DotNetNuke  for Flash to access external  xml file ?

Second problem.
When a full javascript code is written in Text/Html module, it works fine.  But when that code is written in a .js file and then included, that file in the module. It does not work. Does DotNetNuke   support accessing external  .js file ?

Thanks and Regards.

You can include them, you just need to be 100% sure that you have the proper paths, if you uploaded files via File Manager, they are stored in the /Portals/<id>/ folder.  Where <id> is the portalid of the current portal.  If your path is not correct it will be impossible for it to make the association.

Hi Mitchel

For flash file, I  used relative path. It was working as a standalone. I thought it will work same for DotNetNuke.  But  now I have understood , I have to add /dnn/Portals/0/ with every path for this portal. Thank you for your help.
