Hi there!

I was wondering whether there was something i could change in the code to to make the remember me checkbox invisible or delete it? So far i've changed the admin/Authentication/login.ascx from

checkbox id="chkCookie" class="Normal" resourcekey="Remember" text="Remember Login" runat="server"           and added

checkbox id="chkCookie" class="Normal" resourcekey="Remember" text="Remember Login" runat="server" "Visible="false"

But that didnt work, it came up with errors.

Any other suggestions would be appreciated! :)

if that is the exact code you added you need to remove the " before Visible.

I haven't applied this myself, but search for this in the web.config

 enablePasswordRetrieval="true"

and try setting it to false. See if that removes it. Otherwise go with what you're doing.

Rob,

I know for a fact that it doesn't remove it from the UI, instead it leaves it there and when you click on it it tells you that it has been diabled (very Sharepoint like).

the visible=false attribute value is the correct current way to make it invisible (minus the additional " as someelse pointed out). You will be able to control this via a host setting in 5.0 -see http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/Blogs/tabid/825/EntryID/1885/Default.aspx
