I want to develop a small contact list module. within the module i plan to have a serach-field and a buttopn to initiate the search.

How can i initiate the reload of the page (and therefore to reload the module) to have the filtered data displayed.

In a first step, i don't wanna implement AJAX, maybe later on when i understand DNN better.

Thanks for support and/or similar examples where i can learn from

Christian

You can implement this using standard ASP.NET processes, your button can do a postback and have a method that will execute your search and then you can display a results grid.

To add ajax support you can simply check the box inside the control settings for "Supports Partial Rendering".
