Can somebody advise on how I can be notified if new users register on my site? Is their a mechanism like email notification to an administrator or any other portal user?

Thank you

Stephan,

Often times the emails are being sent but are not being sent to a real e-mail address. For your portal, double check what user is marked as the portal administrator, and then double check their email address to make sure it's valid. Also, test the SMTP Settings from the Host menu to make sure that a test email is sent.

Take care,

Ian

It took me about 6mo. of playing to get this to work. I was trying to make it too hard.  Check you smtp settings.  I was trying to put in my home email address, but the site wouldn't email until I set up an email account using the local smtp settings and then making it a proxy to re-direct the mail to my home account.  (I think that's the correct verbage..I'm an engineer, not a prgm'er.)   Once I did that, it all worked as advertised and emails get automatically sent when someone registers, they're account is authorized, or rejected.  BTW...you can also change the templates to put in your own messages.

Good point! Just for clarity's sake -> from Admin -> Languages you can see options such as  EMAIL_USER_REGISTRATION_ADMINISTRATOR_BODY.Text and a slew of other text blogs for email messages.
