When is it appropriate to use the core Lists table for new localizable items instead of the resx files?

Chris,

at the moment never - as there is currently no localization scheme for list names and values.

Sabastian, if this is true how are people localizing the content I know is stored in that table and is used in the forums? (Not arguing, just trying to get to the bottom of this)

Chris,

I localized the forum module to Dutch, but i can't remember seeing anything in the lists table. Content stored there can not be localized... so the answer to your question would be "Not"...
