I am receiving the following error on the Host -> SQL page:

Error: SQL is currently unavailable.
DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Unable to cast object of type 'ASP.admin_portal_sql_ascx' to type 'DotNetNuke.Entities.Modules.PortalModuleBase'. ---> System.InvalidCastException: Unable to cast object of type 'ASP.admin_portal_sql_ascx' to type 'DotNetNuke.Entities.Modules.PortalModuleBase'. at DotNetNuke.UI.Skins.Skin.InjectModule(Control objPane, ModuleInfo objModule, PortalSettings PortalSettings) --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

The only additional infromation I can think to provide at this time is that the first install version of this DNN instance was 4.8.4 and was upgraded to 4.9.0 just last week.  The site works fine besides for just this page.

Any help in how to resolve this issue would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks!

The error occurs as soon as the page loads when I select the SQL menu option from the Host menu. It is the only content that renders on the page.

It is running on 4.9.0 currently, was just upgraded from 4.8.4 last week.

I have this error too. When trying to run SQL Script.

You will get this error is the ascx control do not inherit the PortalModuleBase class, mosttime, it occurs at development period. You should check whether your upgrade doesn't break something. Or it may be a bug of new version.
