Hello,

I use News feeds a lot at my site. But if version 3.x shows results immideately when the page is opened the current 4.0.1 version shows results in 1 minute or so. To prolongate time of cache not a solution since there are users who open empty page in just longer time say in 24 hours.

Is it possible to make reftresh much faster or do refresh just without opening page say create scheduler instance?

Thanks

That's an issue for a lot of folks.  The new version offers some improvement with allowing the module to be setup without using Ajax.  This improves the presentation somewhat.  Now, really the v3.x version did not really open immediately, it had to get the feed with a web request, and there was no caching done.

I agree that adding a scheduler task to refresh newsfeeds would help the presentation model, I started down that road, but haven't completed it. It's worth exploring, though.

Cheers

This is what I intend to be part of it for v 04.01.00. Don't pin me down on timing though.
