This seems to have been a problem since 4.8.1 or 4.8.2??  I use DotNetNuke.Services.FileSystem.SynchronizeFileSystem to syncrhonize files in the file system that have been uploaded via FTP.  This still seems to clear all of the folder security and file information used by DNN where it references files by fileid (e.g. Banners, logo, etc.).  Is there any fix in site for this?  It currently runs hourly as the default has it configured.  I've seen others experience this, but I'm still shocked to find it is still an issue after so many versions.  Am I missing a solution that has been posted somewhere, besides turning this function off?  Thanks for any help!

do not use scheduled file sync job, due to missing portal context there is an issue. Use autosync in host settings and perform a recursive sync in Admin :: File manager manually, after you added/deleted/renamed folders via ftp.
