How to write script with oops concept  so that my module works if there is Object qualifier prefixed to Dnn tables or nothing is prefixed

Issue :

I have writen my scripts in 01.00.00.SqlDataProvider . In my scripts I am using Dotnetnuke table ( like Users , Portals  table  )  I tried to  install my package to another site where the Dnn tables are prefixed with object qualifier ( dnn_ ) so there the tables are dnn_Users , dnn_Portals . so my script is not working where I used direct table name ( like select * from Users )  instead of ( select * from dnn_Users ) .

how to solve this problem

thanks to all for your help

Arvind

best practice is to use a dedicated objectqualifier in your development database, that can easily been used for a search and replace operation in an automatically created script with the appropriate placeholder {objectQualifier} (and same for {databaseOwner} and dbo)

Thanks Sebastian Leupold

This is Ok for Development Database . scince we are using we can search and replace the Object Qualifier and then install package . what if I want to create package (Private assembly ) of my module and placed as free to all any one can install . Any one can install through Host --> Module Definitions --> Install New Module --> Browse to the module  PA  then Install . The one who is going to install may use Object Qualifier Dnn or Dotnetnuke or any thing he desires . In this case I dont want to give option to client like unziping the file and modifying the file 01.01.00SqlProvider file ( search and replace option ) . Instead is there any alternative way which automatically installs . I mean automatically prefixes object qualifier for  the Dnn tables

thanks to all

Arvind

there is no automatic process of providing placeholders in the sql script, but if you setup your development environment properly, you may create the sql script using common tools and search & replace in the created scripts before adding it to the module package.
