My Setup:

Two IIS7 Windows Server 2008 web front ends (medium trust)
One Windows server 2008 storage server
One Load balancer

The web frontends are installed using a shared config. Both frontends are configured identically.
The websites are stored on a storage, IIS7 connects using a unc path.

Whenever I install dotnetnuke on one of the frontends, it works without any problem. No issues configuring it for medium trust.
When I do the same install on the UNC path (eg \\servername\inetpub\sites\wwwroot), it won't pass the file permission check.
Network services has the correct permissions. The fontends are configured to execute code over a UNC path.

Idea's ?

I am getting the same error. The DB is brand new, so I am wondering if the install is looking in the wrong place for the setup script.

I don't think it has something to do with the database.
When I run the install of dotnetnuke, it creates folders and files (eg bin folder and ddl's) on the shared storage.
But when it actually starts provisioning the protal site, the installation just hangs.

Is this a know issue or just bad config from my side? I've tested it on two environments, same problem.
