Can you be more specific about this issue?   In other words the event module currently has Month, Week, Detail, List, and Edit views.  If you can, please email me directly screen shots and setup circumstances for the module.  This way I can correct the issue.  thanks!  Alan Vance a.vance@charter.net

Im using the events module 3.3.8 and I can not get my timezone to work properly.
It is a few hours ahead of me, and whatever I change the timezone to does not make any difference.

Time on My Machine ( EST )  12:01 AM

When I run the following on the DB I get this.
Select getdate() = 6-21-2007:4:59:51.840
select getutcdate() = 6-21-2007:3:59:51.840

Ive tried setting the timezone in all the places i can find since going through these forums.

Any Ideas ?

Thanks !

Jim

Same here. I can't for the life of me make the module show the logged-in user the correct day.

  • Select getdate()  shows the correct date/time for where the site is hosted at UTC-8.
    The Admin Site Settings has that set as the time zone.
  • Select getutcdate()  shows the correct date/time for me at UTC+12
    My account and all other local accounts are set to that time zone.
  • The module always shows "Today" as the same UTC-8 date/time whether one is logged in or not and no matter what the user's own time zone is set to. I just can't make it budge.

Regardless of the above buginess or configuration problems... can the module be made to show "Today" to visitors as the day where the portal is used (where the events are) rather than where it is hosted?

Same here.  Has there been any developments in resolving this issue.  I am using UTC+10 for the site and all users and it is still not correctly showing that date.  Further info:  When I select the Display Timezone checkbox in settings it doesn't display the timezone once updated.

I too am having these same issues.

DB time (getdate() = 2008-03-20 15:16:58, getutcdate() = 2008-03-20 22:16:58, and my timezone is +10 Brisbane = 2008-03-21 08:16:58) so not sure what all the settings are suppose to be set at.  Maybe someone can help:

Event Timezone (settings): UTC +10

Portal Timezone (site/portal/advanced/other): UTC -6

Users: whatever they specifiy as correct, mine is UTC +10

Have I set something incorrectly as the calenday doesn't show the right date as today.  This is a real problem for me, as it doesn't seem to be changing whatever i set the portal or event timezone too.

I too am having the same problem whereby the timezone wont show with the checkbox turned on (Is it possible to get the current time displayed on the calendar too)?

Thanks in advance.

Allan
