Has anyone ever integrated DNN with Ektron CMS400? We want to use the versioning and workflow capablities of CMS400 (since we own it already) but utilize DNN as the front end web architecture.  I have done some searching and having found any moduls available.  Has anyone gone down this route and care to share their experiences with doing this?  Thanks.

While there is no one providing any modules for integration, you could write your own custom modules and use Ektrons web services to get at content items, etc., to display on your DNN site, or access the Ektron API directly.

Not sure what you're gaining though by doing so.

You would gain the use of a very good CMS with workflow and versioning.  Plus we could put DNN in the DMZ and Ektron behind the firewall giving us a little better security.  We alreay own Ektron from another project so it wouldn't cost us anything except development time.  I was hoping someone had already gone down this path and might have some insight and/or code to share.

You could have a staging site behind your firewall and then a production site in the DMZ. The workarea would only be accessible from your staging site. You could then use eSynch to synchronize the two sites.

:)

But that is not question. After 100's of implementations of Ektron sites, this is a first actually (your question).

If you're only looking to consume content from the CMS on your DNN site, it wouldn't be that hard to develop a module to do so. Again, using the webservices or the API. Depends on what all of your requirements are.
