So what could it be then? On our test server, we are having the same issue. I have been able to pull in other DNN blog or forum RSS feeds (from other sites) successfully.

What else would you need to know to help me solve this problem and get this module working? One other possible item for consideration is that users are coming to this DNN portal site from a secure site, which checks to see if they are an authorized user, and if they are, logs them in automatically (they don't even see the login page).

However, when I provide my username and password to the RSS feed settings (which would log me into the site) in the News Feed module, even then I get the same download error message.

Please give me something concrete that will alleviate this problem. Thanks again in advance.

Hi,

A, that narrows it down. From the looks of it it is an authentication issue. We're still working on getting the authentication to work properly on DNN sites.

Thanks Peter. I'm guessing, from other posts I've read here, that this is in the works for the next release. Any firm timeline for that? And will this be fixed in that release?

Also, do you know if it's possible to use the XML Module to view DNN site feeds? I've used it to also pull in simple RSS feeds, but have had a similar problem with the DNN feeds (I'm going to post this question in that forum also).

Anyone have any updated information on the next release of this module?

I'm working behind the scenes with a number of people to get the authentication stuff sorted. At the moment this is stuck. I'm not convinced it's even solveable, but maybe we'll find a way.
