I'm researching material for a couple of blog posts about what if any weaknesses the DotNetNuke platform has and what can we do about it, if you raise a good point I'll me more than happy to mention you on my blog when I write about it.

I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on the matter..... Please comment...

Hector-
Are you inviting responses for ANY weakness or specifically for SEO-related weaknesses?

Well, I think the obvious one is the unfriendly URLs in the core. I have to buy a 3rd party module (URL Rewriter - essential) to do this but if the tabIDs were removed in the core URL rewriting it would improve the SEO on thousands of DNN sites around the world. Of course, there are always solutions to the problems but I am referring to a bog-standand DNN install.

I don't like the way Keywords, titles and descriptions inherit from the Site settings. It leads to laziness and a lot of DNN noobs don't know that it's best practise for them to be unique and handcrafted - I would like to see a flag/wanring on the Page Settings suggesting that they be changed if they are blank or inherited...

Rodney, Could you please expand on the last part about the keywords so I can quote you on the blogpost about that specific item....
