Thank you for your responses

Being in a hosted environment the above would not be supported as you know.

A module for that purpose would be of course great and solves my problem, but I do not find any at this time.

What would be my next step here? since I cannot configure the server !!??

Thanks

You could always write a scheduled task for DNN to execute, they're pretty straight forward if you're comfortable with doing development.

The problem with scheduled tasks is that they don't run on a set schedule, for ex: 2am every day. They run on a minute schedule, X number of minutes since the last time it was executed and completed.

It would be great if somebody could write a module to schedule either adhoc SQL or stored procs via the DNN Scheduler with a report ;)

I don't have the time to do this, but if someone wanted to start up a project on CodePlex for this, and write it in C#, I will offer you my guidance. It might not be a bad way to start doing module development if you are interested in doing so, and get some free training from me at the same time.

Please be aware, that any scheduled task inside DotNetNuke will only be run, if the application is active. When the app pool is recycled, scheduled tasks will not be executed until the site is called.
