I get this error when I try to do anyting in the Gallary. What makes this interesting is this is the DotNetNuke Demo site where I am haveing ths problem. What am I doing wrong?

Here is the error message:

You have one of the earlier (beta) versions of the Gallery which improperly builds its url when the album path is empty. Note the space in the url after "path/". A possible work around is to disable the use of friendly urls in Host --> Host Settings --> Advanced Settings --> Friendly URL Settings : Use Friendly URLs

A release version of the Gallery which corrects this issue and many others was entered into the DNN Release Tracker yesterday. If all goes well, the new version will be available for public release sometime soon - hopefully in time for Christmas.

Hi,

I get the same error using the Gallery module for a new site. It mostly works ok for an existing site that has had the Gallery module for a while.

Here are the version details for the Gallery Module.

Gallery Media Gallery that displays images in albums. 04.02.01

Is there any update about when a patch will be available?

Regards

Peter

It's not great - but there is a way to proceed here.

The improperly built URL has a space in it (between "path/" and "/currentstrip").  If you manually replace that in the address bar with a + symbol it will work.  It's no fun but it will allow you to do a bit of maintainance on the gallery.
