Did you running the SQL script from the pinned thread about the List issue?  I think it can be happend with it.  Also a full ScheduleHistrory and Log files can make the portal slow.

I ran the script you provided but got this error:

System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: Incorrect syntax near '*'. at System.Data.SqlClient.SqlConnection.OnError(SqlException exception, Boolean breakConnection) at System.Data.SqlClient.SqlInternalConnection.OnError(SqlException exception, Boolean breakConnection) at System.Data.SqlClient.TdsParser.ThrowExceptionAndWarning(TdsParserStateObject stateObj) at System.Data.SqlClient.TdsParser.Run(RunBehavior runBehavior, SqlCommand cmdHandler, SqlDataReader dataStream, BulkCopySimpleResultSet bulkCopyHandler, TdsParserStateObject stateObj) at System.Data.SqlClient.SqlCommand.RunExecuteNonQueryTds(String methodName, Boolean async) at System.Data.SqlClient.SqlCommand.InternalExecuteNonQuery(DbAsyncResult result, String methodName, Boolean sendToPipe) at System.Data.SqlClient.SqlCommand.ExecuteNonQuery() at DotNetNuke.Data.SqlDataProvider.ExecuteADOScript(String SQL) at DotNetNuke.Data.SqlDataProvider.ExecuteScript(String Script, Boolean UseTransactions) Delete * dbo.{obejectQualifier}ScheduleHistory Go

Hi Stephen ~

Does the page ever load?  Have you ever put a timer on the page to see the actual processing time?  Is caching enabled on the site? Etc.  Initial startup for something like forums will take extra time, but once your cache is populated forums should be performant.  How many actual forum categories are exposed on the initial view?

Cheers,
Scott

On inital load the page takes about 20 secons to load fully. Caching is enabled on the site. I currently have the site settings as follows:

Page State: Page
Module Caching: Disk
Performance: Light Caching
Auth Cacheability: Public
Compression: GZip
Use Whitespace: Unchecked

The forums are large - we have 118 forums in 7 groups on initial load. Is there a setting that can adjust the view state on initial load to maybe just show the groups not expanded?
