thanks for your messages guys but I have already tried the new superuser, and register is displayed however after I register and login I dont have the rights of a logged in user. For instance, if I login as admin, I should have admin rights, but I have the rights of a non registered user it seems. Secondly if I login with a wrong password I get a error, but if I login with the right password I do not get an error but it does not display my profile name or remove the login module like it used to. So in effect I cant login but obviously it knows I am using the right password.

there seems to be a problem in your installation, unfortunately this is difficult to analyse from description.

Perhaps, it was working for a few weeks while I was building the site.... I guess I am going to have to start all over again... Is there a release date on version 5 by chance?

no, we do not specify release dates in advance, but afaik RC3 is very close.

You note that you change the redirect in IIS.  WHat is the url when you first visit the site?  THen what is it when you get to the login page?

If there is an odd switch of domain, it can prevent you from actually being logged in and will appear with similar issues to what you mention.
