Is it possible to hyperlink directly to a category?

In other words, have the link reside on another page which will take the user directly to the category's page.

Absolutely

You have a couple of options.

1. You can place a Repository Dashboard on *any* page, not just the page with the Repository module. Set the mode to 'Index' which will display all the categories. Clicking on a category will take you to the page with the Repository on it and display that category.

2. If you want a link in your own module with a hard coded link, set the URL to something like this...

/dotnetnuke/default.aspx?grm2catid=5&tabid=27

where 5 would be the internal ItemID of the category you want to display, and 27 would be the TabID of the tab that contains the Repository module. Of course, you'll have to replace the Category ItemID and TabID with values for your site.

You can get the Category ItemIDs by executing 'select * from grmRepositoryCategories' on the Host->SQL page.

Option 2 is what I needed.  Thanks!

This is awesome, I will be using this right away, thanks Steve!

Now ... if I could use attributes like this, it would be totally cool.  Probably a future thing?  I can see from running that SQL that the categories are unique to each repository, but I have been setting attributes consistently across the repositories.  If they were to take a parameter I could synchronize views across instances of different on a single page.  Is this useful enough to enter as an enhancement request?

If this isn't clear enough, this is the client example: 4 repositories, each with one attribute with 7 possible settings.  If I could have a page where I have an instance for each repository on that page, and I could filter all of them to show the entries matching one attribute via a hyperlink, well, I can tell it would sure make a client happy.

Great tip by the way, I'd forward that to JoAnne for the docs, maybe?
