please allow 3rd party developers to validate and update their modules if necessary. Although the core team works hard to prevent breaking changes, this does not clude supported API only; any direct acces to database layer or other low level procedures is subject to fail and requires an update of the 3rd party component.

Seb, i have a minor (maybe major) problem with Admin > Site Settings page.

Error: Portal Aliases is currently unavailable.
DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: The file '/DesktopModules/Admin/PortalAliases/PortalAlias.ascx' does not exist. ---> System.Web.HttpException: The file '/DesktopModules/Admin/PortalAliases/PortalAlias.ascx' does not exist. at System.Web.UI.Util.CheckVirtualFileExists(VirtualPath virtualPath) at System.Web.Compilation.BuildManager.GetVPathBuildResultInternal(VirtualPath virtualPath, Boolean noBuild, Boolean allowCrossApp, Boolean allowBuildInPrecompile) at System.Web.Compilation.BuildManager.GetVPathBuildResultWithNoAssert(HttpContext context, VirtualPath virtualPath, Boolean noBuild, Boolean allowCrossApp, Boolean allowBuildInPrecompile) at System.Web.UI.TemplateControl.LoadControl(VirtualPath virtualPath) at DotNetNuke.UI.ControlUtilites.LoadControl[T](TemplateControl containerControl, String ControlSrc) at DotNetNuke.UI.Modules.ModuleHost.LoadModuleControl() --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

Any suggestion?

For upgrade issues can we move to this new thread now, as there is a similar situation happening it seems (trying to avoid duplication):

Ismet can you comment on that thread?

Thanks
