Where does one find the compatibility/requirements for DNN 5.0.

Does it work with Windows 2008/IIS7?  What about SQL Server 2008?  Do these require any special configuration?

Are there any implications for host installations.

I think it would be a good idea to have such information in a very prominent place that are mentioned every time one sees a reference to Release 5.0, at least in the beginning.

there isn't a matrix -theres should be one but for a long time we've supported virtually every permutation, so normally it was "everything except sql 7"

a quick one off the top of my head:

supported database: sql 2000, msde2000, sql 2005, sql 2005 express, sql 2008 , sql 2008 express [other databases such as oracle are available via 3rd parties] . Note: there are issues with dotnetnuke & 3rd party modules, so you're recommended to use non case-sensitive collations such as the default.

supported OS: windows 2000, windows xp, windows 2003, windows vista, windows 2008

supported webserver:  IIS 5, IIS 5.1, IIS 6, IIS 7 (both classic and integrated)

Note: with 5.0 you need to have MS Ajax installed.

additional requirement: you need to have .net Framework 2.0 (or 3.0 or 3.5) installed and registered for ASP.Net.

Thanks everyone.  I guess I will target Windows 2008/IIS7, SQL Server 2008 and Visual Studio 2008.

I still think a requirements/compatibility list would be good because while you know it works with everything, an outsider assumes there are limitations and when all the documtnation refers to Visual Studio 2005 and SQL Server 2005, then we are uncertain and lack of certainty often inhibits action, especially if third parties are involved.
