 My problem was that I did not unzip the .VB files due to auto security settings . Right click on .zip file properties and remove restrictions and I was all rocking..  
Don't know why I never had run into this before.. odd indeed :). Anyhow. All fine now.. Thanks!

Hello again.  I ran into an error like this and read a similar post that you'd commented on.

When I uninstalled, with Delete Files checked, the Cute Chat IM module, I had to also delete or rename some files the uninstall didn't handle.  One of these was their modified Global.asax.  I'd have to look up again the purpose of Global.asax as I hardly use it.  But when this got corrupted and I didn't re-include the earlier version I had of it, I got this error.

I was able to access what I needed via Visual Studio, re-included a known good Global.asax file and the error cleared.

Fortunately since this was my last change and I kept good notes, that fixed it all and I was back up and running on 5.1.4

There you go.
