It may not be a "framework" issue, but it is certainly a "skinning" issue. A client won't seperate the two and the "use another browser" excuse won't fly with a client either.

It should not fly within the community either, Alex.

It's not hard to design sites that are browser agnostic. I have no issues with 5 of my DNN sites in the Chrome browser (as well as other browsers).

This site actually did work in the current version of Chrome for me, but there were some layout issues with the acton icons just below the banner ad. This is not a browser issue, is not a DNN issue, it is a Css/design issue.

Huh? Where in the original post was there a discussion about layout in google chrome? I responded to Mike's issue not yours Ed which I answered to the best of my ability. His browser was not working AT ALL on his machine, but was working on another if you look at the issue again. It's an application issue (Google Chrome itself) or even a PC configuration issue (firewall/privacy).

If you want to discuss google chrome layout/skinning issues I suggest you start a new thread rather than take my comments so completely out of context (please read the post again I was replying to :).

Thanks.

To clarify, my browser works, but for every website except dotnetnuke.com.  It even works for my own DotNetNuke-based websites.  I have also submitted a ticket to Google about this issue, but wanted to check to see if there's anything known about this on this end.

(Quick check on the wife's computer, and she can see the site in Chrome (both running the same OS).  So it's something on my end.  Any ideas?)

...which led me to believe it's an issue with your particular browser/configuration.

It's also possible your firewall software could be interferring. Are you using something like ZoneAlarm? Maybe check to see if your wife's firewall config and your config + browser settings/version are the same. Good luck!

When the poster indicated that the site wouldn't load in Chrome.  The only problem in Chrome is that it is strict in interpreting HTML and CSS, which can indicate the site's problem is due to the CSS and layout/skin code.

FWIW, I don't have problems in Chrome either, so it really does have to be the OP's browser or system setup.
