I am having some strange behavior from the PropertEditorControl

I have it dropped in a page and bound to a UserInfo object, If I navigate to it as a normal  .ascx in my custom module, everything works as expected, however, I am trying to use this "control" as a user control in the Edit form Popup of the RadGrid component. When used in this way, it seems to lose the binding to the UserInfo object , returning NULL from the _underlyingDatasource method of PropertyEditorControl.vb

Strange thing is If I use user.ascx directly from the Admin/User folder, it renders as expected.

Anyone have any thoughts?
