This is stil not fixed as of version DNN 05.04.02, so just change the text in red below in manifest file generated while creating the package before clicking on "Next" at package creation wizard.

<script type="Install">
              <name>ModuleName.SqlDataProvider</name>
              <version>ModuleName</version>
</script>

into

<script type="Install">
              <name>ModuleName.SqlDataProvider</name>
              <version>01.00.00</version>
</script>

Hope this helps.

Gents,
I'm also experiencing this problem. I'm running Community Version 05.06.00 and can not create a packed version of my compiled module using the wizard.

Is there any progress to be expected or should I continue building the Install package manually. If the latter, is there any good tutorial that takes current version into consideration ? It seems to me that the tuts I found are pretty outdated.

Best regards

Thomas

Hi all, to those still having problems with this I fixed mine by removing the version child node in the UnInstall node:

Your post is the gift that keeps on giving!  Thanks, I was pulling my hair out.  That fixed it for me.
