Anyone has any information on how to develop modules for DNN 5?

I seem to be having trouble installing a very simple hello world, one user control module. The forms presented to me when I click Create New Module are different in 5.x than 4.x.

Thanks

Well here we go DotNetNuke - I've been saying this for a while. Where is the documentation ? DNN 5 released and none in sight. The DNN 5 book doesn't come out until next month and yet we're supposed to somehow instinctively know how to put this new paradigm together.  I know I have been banging on about this recently BUT this costs us a lot of money in time which doesn't seem to be appreciated by the Core team.

Howard - I have written a very strong email to Shaun about this issue and the arrogant-tone of the Core team responses that seems to pervade their responses recently. I will copy into this issue when I get an appropriate response.

all your existing module develop skills apply, i posted some notes on new optional items you might consider if creating modules that require dnn 5.0 or higher @ http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/Forums/tabid/795/forumid/118/threadid/278768/scope/posts/Default.aspx

Cathal, Thanks for links. I am still not able to get any information on installing modules for DNN5.

There is no place in the Create or Install Module Definition page to tell the Framework what user control I added.

I have a very simple user control display some text that inherits from DotNetNuke.Entities.Modules.PortalModuleBase.

It is placed in DesktopModule/MyModuleFolder/MyTestUserControl.ascx.

I also have the following in web.config and App_Code:

 <codeSubDirectories>
            <add directoryName="HTML" />
            <add directoryName="MyModuleFolder" />
        </codeSubDirectories>

App_Code/MyModuleFolder
