Hi. I have lots of document modules on my website. I need to assign specific security roles required to access certain documents. Is there a module or a way to assign roles to documents within a document module? I'm willing to pay if there is no free alternative.

When we have a site that requires this functionality we use the Document Exchange module from Bring2Mind. It works very well and the feature set is rich. Support from Peter has always been outstanding.

That's exactly what I was going to buy. I just wanted to make sure I was doing the right thing and not overseeing some free alternative.

I am going to have to agree.  DMX is going to make it MUCH easier for you to manage those documents and roles.  Peter over at Bring2Mind has done a fantastic job evolving DMX to always meet the latest document management needs.  There are lots of stale document management applications out there:)  The biggest plus is support, Peter does an amazing job at supporting his product, thats why I always use DMX.
