Hi and good day,

I am busy trying to develop a site, that unfortuantely requires 2 menus at the top, now basically I am wondering how to basically split the providers for the menu data... I am however not sure if this is what I really want to do... I like the standard menu that you get with the built in menu.. I am using the DNNMenuNavigationProvider, so basically I would like to use the same menu, only I want to be able to set whats on it, so if the top menu has home on it, then I do not want to display home on the bottom menu. I have searched all over for some information on how to do this and so far come up empty handed. If someone can help me or post a link with information about using the DNN menu as "seperate" entities please do so.

Here is an example of what I am trying to achieve :

the menu that I want to make

I hope this give a better idea of what I want to do

The image does not display. Where are the items in the second menu coming from?

Hi, yeah as you can see I haven't quiet gotten the linking and that stuff right... anyways, the menu example I want to show is the same as the menu that is on http://www.oerafrica.org, as you can see it is 2 seperate elements.

The bottom menu would be getting it's data from anywhere, be it database driven or even xml. The thing is I would like to be able to dynamically create the pages like the DNN menu works at the moment in this menu aswell.

I have already set up the stanard DNN menu to look like the top part of the menu i.e Home|Blogs|Forums|FAQs|Contact US|. My problem comes when I am trying to add the other elements i.e About OER | Communities | Resources | Toolkit | Interact, I have no idea where to start.

I don't actually know if that is at all possible, if not then I could probably just build the menu as a module and use the NavigateURL features?

I am new to DNN and I am still awaiting my books by Shaun Walker and I am hoping to learn alot through the books but for now all I have are you guys (not complaining)

Thanks for the Quick response though, I am overwhelmed :)

Are the pages in that menu going to be children of the selected page?
