Hello,

When the DNN site i was creating got moved onto the hosting environment the Links module and the HTML Editor started throwing up a"The resource cannot be found." error for the LinkClick.aspx.  I found a post here date 2006 for the same error, but it looked like no resolution was ever given.  I tried reinstalling the Link module and i still got the same error.  I am using DNN 4.0.9.

I also get the same error when in Admin > Security Roles > User Roles.

I really need this fixed as the client wants to go live in early Feb...

Please Help,

Jo

please check your web.config and make sure the following two entries are there

in the <handlers> node

<add name="LinkClickHandler" path="LinkClick.aspx" verb="*" type="DotNetNuke.Services.FileSystem.FileServerHandler, DotNetNuke" preCondition="integratedMode,runtimeVersionv2.0" />

in the httpHandlers node

<add verb="*" path="LinkClick.aspx" type="DotNetNuke.Services.FileSystem.FileServerHandler, DotNetNuke" />

linkclick isn't related to the links module, it's built in core functionality with handler links in the web.config - i'm not sure why it isn't working if you have the correct web.config settings
