Why aren't the email notifications working in the forums? This feature hasn't been working for several months.

I am finding myself spending more time than I like tracking my posts and replies and it's getting frustrating.

Email notification for end-users was broken in the most recent release of the FORUM module.  (It still works for moderators.)

I miss having this feature as well...

So why is it taking so long to fix it, specially when it was working before and it works for moderators now? It seems to me then it's just a simple fix and a lot of people want this working.

You might want to post the question to the following very recent thread (or start a new thread under the FORUM module forum...)

I guess what I want to say is:

- Testing is poor because an important functionality which used to work (or did it ever?) doesn't work anymore.

- It hasn't been fixed for a loooong time. I had this issue long before 12/24 when 4.9.1 was released so it seems this is an old issue unless 4.9.1 didn't introduce a newer version of the forum.

- I couldn't find a recent issue in Gemini about this under forums section. I see an old ticket from 2007 for version 3.x.x and the status  is "can't reproduce". I am not sure if this means it hasn't been fixed then! Many people mentioned in these forums it's not working. Or is it because the DNN guys are moderators they can't see it!?
