The site starts at about 75 mb and in 6 months it grows to near a gig in size. It gets 1.5 gig of monthly traffic and I have turned off all of the logs I could find. The large size costs alot more money to host so I reload the site every six months and lose my member list in the process. It is a nonprofit site so I have not purchased memberlist backup software.

I believe the database is doing a majority of the bloating. I have enabled moderate caching using disk. I will turn off all caching and see if that does anything if I can get the site to install. I have given up on dnn 5 and am trying to get dnn 491 running.

DNN 491 is up and running finally. I turned off caching and performance nosedived. I have switched from disk caching to memory caching. There is a clear cache link so this is probably not the culprit.

Note 4.9.2 is out, I believe it solves at least one caching issue (I think).
