Its easy to drop in an Account Login module to a login page and enable the page's Secure checkbox to force it to use SSL. However, I've not been able to use https with the default login control, i.e., when Login Page is set to <NONE SPECIFIED> in Admin-Site Settings. How do I set the secure bit for it?

The problem I've faced with using the Account Login module on a login page and set Login Page to "Account Login" in Admin-Site Settings is that whenever I logout, and then click on login, I always get 2 links at the top right corner-Login and Account Login below it where Account Login is the name of the page where I've kept the Account Login module. I'd prefer to see just one link - Account Login instead. How do I do it?

if you use the Account login module on a page, make sure that this page is correctly configured as login page in site settings (and SSL enabled). Now the Login link will direct you automatically to the correct page instead of showing up the login control.

Sebastian,

Yes I did exactly what you said. However, when I do that, I get 2 links at top right-hand corner : Login (I suppose this came from the default login of DNN) and Account Login where "Account Login" is my page where I dropped the Account Login module. What I'd prefer is to either use the default login control with SSL, something which I haven't been able to do since there seems to be no easy way of SSL-enabling it OR use a page with the Account Login as you suggested, but WITHOUT the 2 links appearing, viz., Login and Account Login.

I think you're running into some issue with your skin. It's pretty straightforward to SSL enable your login page. Can you confirm what (if any) customizations have been done at the skin level for the Account Controls?

It could be the skin, I have to check that out. In the meantime, lets suppose I dont want to use the Account Login module on a separate login page. Instead I just want to use the default login control, i.e. Login Page is set to <NONE SPECIFIED> in Admin-Site Settings. How do I set the secure bit for it so that whenever I login, it will go thru SSL?
