Has anyone else using IE 8 RC (in both normal and compatibility modes) found it impossible to log OUT of dotnetnuke.com since the site makeover this past weekend? I get a postback but remain logged in after clicking Logout. No problem in Firefox 3.

I had a problem and had to go track down all my cookies and delete them.  I could not do it with IE, I had to find the physical directories (there was more than one) and remove them.  I don't remember the names of the directories but they were in my user/appdata/.../microsoft/windows trees

BTW.  The errors were the result of implementing single-sign-on between DotNetNuke.com and our Professional trouble-ticket system.  We had a bug in the old 4.x code which was fixed in 4.9.2.

I had the same problem.  I an running IE 7 and DNN 5.  I hit logout to login as a different user to test something and it wouldnt log me out.  I had to close IE and reopen it and it would have me logged out.  It only happen to me once so far..

When I try to logout using the logout link in the top-right of the default skin, it doesn't always work.  It appears to work... ie. it takes me to a new page where I can enter a different username and password.

However, when I click on a parent link that has child links under it that should only be visible to authenticated users, it logs me back in... and I can see all links that only authenticated users should see.  I didn't click save password. I also cleared my web browsing cache/history/saved passwords and tried it again... same result.

 

DNN version 4.9.2

Security issue perhaps?
