Cause I'm not going to whine.  I just have a couple of questions.  New to all this, we are considering a radical changeover from a unix server to windows/asp.net.  We tested out something called YAF, which seemed to have a few things we didn't care for but overall was good enough for our small, invite only private forums.  Wondering if DNN has a module for calender functions, photo album and forums?  And I guess the dumbest question, does this forum come with the professional version?

There are a number of forum modules available for DNN, I would check out Active Forums from www.activemodules.com

As for calendar, check out the Events Module, and for a photo album I believe the Gallery module is working on a new release. Personally I would use Simple Gallery from ventrian.com for now.

DNN comes with ~25 modules when you install it, you can install the modules individually after install. Forums, Events, Gallery and others are in this list of 25.

This module even comes with the Community version.

Not only that it does have a limited functionality calendar, the are a siqnificant number of what is called core modules that come as a standard install.  As far as a good photo albumn you may have to break down and purcahase one but that cost could be less than $50 depending on which one you decide on.

I'll 2nd the advice for Ventrian Simple Gallery and Active Forums.  I've used both for over 3.5 years and they are rock solid with great support.  You can't go wrong.
