@ Mark - your robots.txt looks good, should be just a matter of time for it to clean up the index. Also make sure your Terms and Privacy pages are NOT included in your xml sitemap. Oh, and be careful with trying to "force" pages out of the index.

@ Will - what Tony reported here is simply wrong unless he looked at DNN 3 or earlier. It used to be that the Terms and Privacy Urls where uniquely generated depending on the page you were on and thus creating a mess of duplicate content. But that has been fixed a whole while ago (somewhere in the early days of 4.x if I remember correctly) and now you get ONE Terms and Privacy Url regardless of where you are on the site:

/Home/tabid/36/ctl/Terms/Default.aspx

/Home/tabid/36/ctl/Privacy/Default.aspx

for most default installations. And again, these two pages you should simply disallow in robots.txt. Tony is right in regards to "nofollow" though and I belive Bruce Chapman has "fixed" the Terms and Privacy skin objects and submitted to Gemini for consideration.

I had not realised that had been fixed but I see this is the case = much less duplication!

I would like to rewrite the URLs though, eg.

http://www.pokerdiy.com/home/welcome/ctl/privacy.aspx

should be

http://www.pokerdiy.com/privacy-statement.aspx

Unless I am mistakened, URL Master can't do this in the Page URLs section as it is a dynamically generated page url onthe home page. Any other suggestions?

Rod - I would simply create a conventional DNN page for the Terms and Privacy upon which you have full control over the Url with Url Master.

Yes, I guess you are right - it's also easier to edit this than tweaking langauge strings in the editor. The hard bit could be finding all mentions of the dynamically generated ones and editing them (the token in the skin is the obvious one, but are they shown anywhere else?)
