I am trying to create a partent portal and am running into issues in 5.0. i will try to outline it below:

I have portal - lets call it www.123.com.

it has an alias name of www.123.com and 123.com.

i am adding parent portal www.abc.org. when i add the parent portal i put www.abc.org in the portal alias box at the time i am creating it so i end up with a portal called abc portal and an alias of www.abc.org.

i select www.abc.org and add another alias to it - abc.org. however, when i update it shows the alias under both www.abc.org and www.123.com? why would it do this?

when i added the alias abc.org i did add it under www.abc.org but its showing under the 0 portal...

great, i will try to update. i did have someone show me how to use sql commands to change the number 15 record to 4 and that worked. so will see if the upgrade will fix it too...
