Okay, now I have uninstalled the module via Host > Module Definitions and verified that there are no Effority files in DesktopModules, App_Code org bin.

I have restarted the application via Host > Settings, and installed the 01.01.09 version of module without error messages.

I have restarted the application again, just to be sure.

I have added the module to the page where I want it, and I get the same error.

*sigh*

I assume, one of the user or profile properties is Null, while the module assumes all to be filled in or missing. you might check the users and user profile tables for null values.

This thread is pretty old, but I was hoping to be able to get a pointer or two from some people who have been using this module for a while. I am implementing DNN on our company intranet and found this great user directory module to use as the phone book. I love the fact that you can use your own layout templates, but I'm running into a problem. I can't seem to get them to display in a grid form. The entries simply list down the left side of the page and there is a lot of wasted space. Does anyone have any ideas on how I can get the layout I need? The current layout code I'm using is pretty simplistic.

<p><img width="100" height="151" vspace="5" hspace="15" padding="5" border="0" alt="Picture of [User:Displayname]" align="left" src="http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/dotnetnuke/Portals/0/Employees/[User:FirstName]%20[User:LastName].jpg" /></p>
<p>&#160;</p>
<p><strong><br />
[User:LastName], [User:FirstName]</strong></p>
<p><strong>"[User:FirstName]"<br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: small; "><strong>Phone:&#160;[User:Telephone]<br />
</strong></span><strong><span style="font-size: small; "><strong>Email: [User:Email]</strong></span></strong></strong></p>
<p>&#160;</p>
<p>&#160;</p>

I appreciate any and all help I can get!

Great... while building my user list I've encountered an error. After I added my own name to the user list this is what comes up on the User Directory page.

System.InvalidCastException: Conversion from type 'DBNull' to type 'String' is not valid. at Microsoft.VisualBasic.CompilerServices.Conversions.ToString(Object Value) at effority.UserDirectory.View.BuildHtmlTableBrowser(DataView dv, Int32 selPage)

I've removed myself as a user (it defaulted me as a superuser for some reason) but the problem persists. I'm at a total loss, is there anyone out there with more than half a brain that can help me back on his feet?
