I forgot to mention that I also disabled GZip compression under Host Settings to resolve other issues around the same time I saw this problem go away. If someone still experiencing this issue has GZip compression enabled, try setting to No Compression and see if that resolves the scheduler issues.

I have disabled compression, but still scheduler problems. Also after the session expires the portal throws a 404 error (in DNN style) with the request to go back. Not sure if this error has been reported yet.

I too am using a custom Schedule Process, but I checked through my code and believe it or not I have not used "Completed()" anywhere in the code. Also my compression is disabled i.e. no compression and I still get this ERROR: "System.ApplicationException: This operation returned because the timeout period expired. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x800705B4) at System.Threading.ReaderWriterLock.AcquireWriterLockInternal(Int32 millisecondsTimeout) at DotNetNuke.Services.Scheduling.DNNScheduling.Scheduler.CoreScheduler.RemoveFromScheduleInProgress(ScheduleItem objScheduleItem)"

DotNetNuke 5.06.02

My ScheduleHistory table has this entry a TON (hundreds) of times in it (DNN5.6.1):

Purge Schedule History
Schedule history purged

If schedule history is purged, should the table be blank / only show this once?

I too am getting the errors reported in this thread.
