I am working on my first skin, using dnn 5.0.1

The layout I am using and like has the menu kind of between two pics, not taking the full width of the page.  For the items we want on the menu, it is plenty of space.  When logged in, the Admin and Host menu items get added (and we plan on adding a couple of other admin-area pages as well).  For this, I need the menu to span the length of the page.  I have created a second skin with this layout and would like to apply it only when a user is logged in (only admin and host will be able to log in to this site ever).  I installed both skins and set one as the Portal skin, and the other as the Edit skin.

Now, I assumed (ahem) that the Edit skin would be the one viewed whenever an admin/host is logged in (and the radio button for the Mode in the Control Panel is selected as Edit).  It appears this is not the case.  The alternate skin is only showing when I am actually 'editing' something like a text/html module.

Is this how this should work?  Or is this a bug?

I guess what I'm really asking is if there is a way in 5.x to set the skin different based on whether a host/admin is logged in or not.

Thanks!
