hi

Can you tell me the capacity of Documents module  to upload

i want to upload some files so that some authorised user can download that  i m using the document module  but i want to upload  really large documents is any another way to do that

or if i upload the files through FTP  and then provide the link to download then through FTP  upto what size i can upload

or any other module  for this  pls guide

The upload capacity for any DNN module is governed by what you set the request lengths to.  If you look in the web.config of your DotNetNuke installation, you can set that information in httpRuntime tag.

I checked  my web.config

<httpRuntime useFullyQualifiedRedirectUrl="true" maxRequestLength="8192" requestLengthDiskThreshold="8192" />

 

this is the line under httpruntime tag  i m a not able to understand by  "8192" ?  this is which unit  and how can i change that  like if i want to set  the Max capacity to 10 MB so how can i do that ? pls guide

unit is KB and if you extend it significantly, you need to extend timeout as well, please see MSDN for documentation.

can you pls provide one example like if i want to meake it to 10 MB  so how can i change that
