i already have the xml file ready to upload to UDT module. i do not know the steps to get the xml file into the database?

i also tried to use the http://www.codeplex.com/Csv2UDTImport.

how does this exe run?

i downloaded the exe to my desktop and tried to drag a csv file with ";" delimeter and i get an unsuspected error and it says it needs to close down?

please advise,

you may upload the file to /XSLStyleSheets subfolder (create it, if not existing) using File Manager in Admin menu.

Oops, sorry I misread your previous post. to import data using xml it needs to follow the module export structure.

setup a UDT with appropriate column and 2 sample records. use "export module" to create an export XML file. download the file and replace sample data with your data (needs to follow exactly ! the same structure. Upload file and import.

thanks! unfortunately my xml with all 200 rows of data is structured completely different than the way the UDT wants it. my data is pretty straight forward, i have 200 records with 16 columns per record.

the way UDT set up is completely different. i have to have 16 field elements per record? is there an easy way to convert this?

you've been a great help sebastian.
