I have a couple of forum posts that are now stuck in the system, and I'm not sure how to get them out. I'm running a mixed-mode authentication system with both DNN accounts and AD accounts. Thousands of the accounts were created by AD with no e-mail address (student accounts), which is what started the problem.
When I attempted to delete some especially obnoxious posts, it "required" that I send an e-mail response. Since those accounts don't have an e-mail address, DNN errored out with a message saying something like "to line cannot be blank", and returned to the same screen. I kept getting the same error regardless of which "delete" option I chose, and I certainly wasn't going to "approve" the post to get off the screen, so I used the menus to change screens.
So, every time I check for posts to moderate now I get a listing of two forums that have posts awaiting moderating. If I click on either one, it does nothing, I cannot even view the messages, it stays on that menu. The posts are stuck in limbo, and I have no idea how to get them out of them.
This seems like a bug to me, it should check for an empty address line to avoid a situation like this.
