Hi Sebastian,

Thank you for your reply.

I have set the site to be the default on the server, if http://talkaboutrental.invosoft.co.uk/ does not work, please try 78.129.220.132.

Many Thanks.

Allthough the page comes up for me (why so ever) i also cannot see the login dialog nor the register dialog.

You are sure that you have all the permissions set right on the whole folder?
What kind of server do you have? win2003? SQL?
Did you follow the install-document?

I've never such a "bad behaviour" of DNN, just letting noone in...

It's Windows Server 2003, SQL 2008 Enterprise with a brand new install of DNN straight from the Download link above.

It is obviously some kind of permissions thing, but I have no idea how the DNN security system works - no conventional  <authorzation> section is the web.config, etc..

I'm not quite sure where the root cause could be...

Let's check
- Network Service - Full Control
- ASP.NET Machine Account - everything but full control
- Anonymous IIS Account - Read and Execute, List Folder, Read

Thats for files

On SQL  there is a account in the dbo-role which owns the db?

You used the Install-Package, haven't you?

I assume, you specified a dedicated page for login and register with appropriate modules, but did not grant acces for unauthenticated users.

please enter database and remove registertab and logintab id to regain access and adjust permissions.
