can anybody point me to a script that I can run from my home machine to my remote server host ?

You can use "smaterping" (as mentioned before in this post).  Install it and set it up to your url e.g.

www.mywebsite.com/keepalive.aspx

Use a setting of every 10mins and it should work OK.

One problem you going to have is that you home machine will have to be running constantly in order for this to work, hence the talk about third party option.
