Would someone on the DNN Team confirm the fix on this? I have 4.9.5 with this issue and need to get it resolved. Is the fix to copy the current 5.x version from the APP_BROWERS dir?

As a follow up, I copied the app_browser files from a DNN 5.2.x version to my DNN 4.9.5 and it resolved the issue with an indexer with ZoomSearch. I need to yet confirm that it reduces the errors in my event log. Here is what I did:

1) backed up the files in my current DNN 4.9.5 App_Browsers directory.
2) copied files from App_Browsers in DNN 5.2.x or higher to DNN 4.9.5.

Important note: you can not store copies of the browser files in the App_Browsers directory. To backup my instance, I copied my 4.9.5 files into a sub-directory in APP_BROWSERS and it brought my DNN instance down. When I moved the copies (including the directories) outside of the APP_BROWSERS dir, the sites came back up.

Hope this helps.

Hi,
in my dnn 5.4 I found that this crawler is not contained in the App_browsers and cause me the same reported error .

The user Agent is: AdsBot-Google-Mobile (+http://www.google.com/mobile/adsbot.html) Mozilla (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 3 0 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit (KHTML, like Gecko).

I tried to configure it's browser caps by myself but without success.

Can someone help me?

Regards
 Fausto.

@Fausto Manzoni

I have the samen problem with 5.5.1

Already tried to enter the browser_caps files, but did not succeed.

Added this to the oceanspiders file (where all other Google Bots are in)

<browser id="GoogleAdsbotMobile" parentID="oceanspiders">
  <identification>
   <userAgent match="AdsBot-Google-Mobile" />
  </identification>
  <capture></capture>
  <capabilities>
   <capability name="crawler" value="true" />
   <capability name="browser" value="Googlebot-Mobile" />
   <capability name="version" value="Google-Adsbot-Mobile-iPhone" />
   <capability name="majorversion" value="3" />
   <capability name="minorversion" value="0" />
   <capability name="crawler" value="true" />
   <capability name="isMobileDevice" value="false" />
  </capabilities>
 </browser>

Anyone?
