Well no pain no gain in my view. There will be retrospects after this I'm sure. Lessons were learnt in 5.0.1, which I think were dealt with brilliantly in 5.1.0, so now we have another lesson to learn perhaps.

Honestly ...this isn't very proffessional ..... would any of you treat a customers site like you guys in core team are treating dotnetnuke.com? Get over it and make a rollback ...... an attmemt like this should not go on for more than an hour .....there must be better sites to test the uppgrade on ....

I don't understand.... they are too busy preparing the release of 5.1? If an upgrade to 5.1 is going to impact my sites like it has impacted this site 5.1 should not be released........

Personally I am delighted as it will result in a better product. I am more than prepared to wait for a robust & fast 5.1 I'd also rather see the 'DNN mothership' have to deal with such issues in 5.1 than a massive ecosystem of sites, folllowing a full CE release.

Of course..    a project team member...   using the word ecosystem.     Fancy terms vs common sense.

Do you realize dotnetnuke.com is not a test bed.   People are actually here to find information, use the forums, etc.?    I'm sure there will be a retrospective..   what will be learned is questionable.
